Study objective

It is a biomedical study promoted by the Catalan Institute of Oncology with the help of Bellvitge University Hospital, the Hospital of Viladecans and Moisès Broggi Hospital. It is designed to investigate genetic and environmental factors that could lead to the onset of colorectal cancer.

We know that environmental risk factors (being overweight, lack of exercise, etc.) play an important role in the onset of cancer but identifying the genetic predisposition of every subject is also important. 

The aim of the COLSCREEN study is to PERSONALIZE colorectal cancer screening by identifying the individual risk (environmental and genetic) of every person.
