Rafael Muñoz

Rafael Muñoz is a laboratory technician in chemical analysis (1988) and technical laboratory clinical analysis (1993). He completed the Postgraduate Degree in prevention and control of sexually transmitted infections of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the course of operational information collection systems of the University Institute of Public Health of Catalonia and the update course in microbiological techniques of the Institute of Health Studies.
Since 2007 he belongs to the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and has gained extensive experience in field work and support for research projects. His collaboration in research projects has led to the publication of various scientific articles.
He is currently attached to the technical office of the ICO’s early colorectal cancer diagnostic program.
His main functions are:
- Laboratory analysis technician for stool occult blood determination.
- Search and review of clinical documentation.
- Fieldwork and support in research projects.
