During her postodoctoral stay at the Chemistry Department at the University of York, she focused on developing her own research line about the determination of tobacco toxicants in settled house dust samples. From November 2014, she collaborates in different projects of the “Thirdhand Smoke Research Consortium” of the University of California. In 2015 she has been awarded with a H2020-MSCA-IF with the project “Thirdhand tobacco smoke: chemical characterization, human exposure and urinary carcinogen biomarkers”. With this project she aims to use for the first time metabolomics to elucidate the health impact of thirdhand smoke exposure in non-smokers..
