On 8th of October 2018 the Annual Consortium Meeting of the TackSHS project took place in Barcelona. Researchers from 11 participating institutions came together to discuss project progress, preliminary results and plan further steps. The meeting was followed by the TackSHS Interim Meeting (October 9th -10th).

The preliminary results of the project indicate that exposure to second-hand smoke and nicotine in particular occurs in an important amount of public areas that are often not regulated by smoke-free policies, such as children playgrounds or terraces, with alarming levels of exposure in some countries.
