Idibell Group: Early Detection of Cancer In 2020, the creation of the Early Detection of Cancer group within the Public Health Epidemiology, Cancer Prevention and Palliative Care Program of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute was approved.
The group, led by Montse Garcia, is made up of professionals who evaluate population programs for early detection of breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The purpose of the group is research into the implementation and dissemination of screening programs, which includes aspects of accessibility, process and outcome, as well as research related to the evaluation of new early detection strategies.
