Screening for colorectal cancer: indicators of coordination and continuity of care
The European guidelines for the quality of breast cancer colorectal screening programs describe the process indicators, screening structure and the results. However, they do not specifically evaluate the coordination and continuity of care during the cancer screening process.
The objective of this study was to identify and adapt the health quality indicators related to the coordination and continuity of the cancer screening process. It was carried out through a bibliographic review and subsequent consensus of a group of experts.
The identification of these indicators will help identify areas for improvement and measure the effect of coordination and continuity.
