Holds a Degree in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, 1999) and a Master Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention from Polytechnic Foundation of Catalonia (2004) with specialization in ergonomics and psychsociology, safety and hygiene of work.



In 2000, Laura worked at the Department of Health Psychology at Royal Holloway University of London with the diabetes research group, participating in various scientific projects and translation of questionnaires. During five years of her professional career Laura has worked as a cognitive psychology therapist for adults with mental disorders and among other interventions she was providing support for smoking cessation.

In 2012, she joined the Tobacco Control Unit of the Catalan Institute of Oncology where she carries out technical coordination of the Catalan Smoke-Free Hospitals Network, participating in working groups, design, implementation and coordination of the programs, as well as managing Network communication activities. At international level, Laura has elaborated technical coordination of the International Network ENSH-Global, participating in working groups on updating the assessment tools, organizing and coordinating the process of international GOLD Forum accreditation. Currently she is a member of the working groups of the ENSH-Global.
