Holds a Degree in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, 1999) and a Master Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention from Polytechnic Foundation of Catalonia (2004) with specialization in ergonomics and psychsociology, safety and hygiene of work.

XCHSF ENSH

In 2000 she worked in the Department of Health Psychology at the Royal Holloway University of London in the Diabetes Research Group, collaborating on various scientific projects and translating questionnaires. For five years of her professional career she has performed psychological therapy on adults with mental disorders from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, providing support in smoking cessation processes.
In 2012 he joined the Tobacco Control Unit of the Catalan Institute of Oncology where she carries out technical coordination in the Catalan Network of Smoke Free Hospitals, participating in specific working groups, design, implementation and coordination of programs, as well as communication activities.
Her main area of research is smoking control, specifically in the regulation of smoke-free spaces, monitoring the prevalence of tobacco use in health professionals and evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs and smoking cessation interventions.
Laura’s scientific contribution includes various articles and papers at national and international conferences and seminars.
Internationally, she has developed the technical coordination of the Global Network for Tobacco Free Healthcare Services. She has participated in working groups for updating assessment tools, in the organization and coordination of the GOLD Forum international accreditation process and as Jury member for this process. She is currently a member of the working groups of the Global Network board, and has been its vice president since 2019.
