Head of the Tobacco Control Unit of Althaia with the leading role in tobacco control in the region, she has been one of the promoters of the Tobacco Treatment Network of the Central Catalonia. She has an extensive experience in addictions prevention working groups. She actively collaborates in the activities, publications, and studies carried out by the Catalan Smoke-Free Hospitals Network.
She has published a number of articles on tobacco control and recently she has focused her scientific research on smoking among psychiatric patients and implementation of mindfulness to the treatment of addictions. For three years she has been a Professor of health education at different degrees of Health Sciences at the University Foundation of Bages (current UVIC Manresa).
